GI MAP     MRT      HTMA

What is the GI MAP TEST?

Cost $300 ($200 analysis fee)

The GI-MAP  uses DNA analysis to assess microbes that may be disturbing normal microbial balance or contributing to illness as well as indicators of digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function. The GI-MAP provides an overview of the entire gut biome, providing information on both good and bad bacteria. It tells a lot about gut health and from gut health, we can learn a lot about overall wellness. From the results, I am able to use the information to help create a wellness plan specific to the individual.

What is MRT Testing?

Cost $300 ($100 analysis fee)

MRT stands for Mediator Release Test. It is a test that tests immunological pathways activated by food and food chemicals in a person’s diet. Food sensitivities happen when your body reacts to a certain food or foods. However, the reaction to the food or foods are often not immediate and can happen days after the food is ingested. The end result of ingesting food that your body is sensitive to is the body releases an immune chemical called a mediator from your white blood cells. The release of the mediator is what causes unwanted symptoms. The MRT test analyzes your blood to see its response to 170 different foods and food chemicals. It looks at what actually happens to the cells when they come in contact with the particular food. I use the results from the test to help design a wellness plan to help you feel your best.
